dIG bADDY was formed in the Fall of 2006. The band consisted of four players, all related: Jordyn (age 9 at the time) handling Drums and Backup Vocals; Dylan (age 12 at the time) handling Keyboards, Synthesizer, Violin, and Backup Vocals; Taylor (age 14 at the time) handling Bass Guitar and Backup Vocals; and their dad John on Lead Vocals.
dIG bADDY won the "Battle of the Bands" at the Bill Austen Youth Center on October 20, 2007. By virtue of this victory dIG bADDY was granted the honor of opening Cape Coral’s 2007 Coconut Festival rock-n-roll festivities which featured Lou Gramm (the lead singer of Foreigner) and the band Loverboy. . . .this accomplishment is simply amazing considering that dIG bADDY had been performing for less than a year when they won the competition.
dIG bADDY spent the Winter of 2007 and the Spring of 2008 working on original songs for their first album Rocktronica. They spent the Summer of 2008 in Ohio recording the music for Rocktronica and the Winter of 2008 and Spring of 2009 in Florida recording the vocals for Rocktronica and mixing and mastering the album.
In addition to their original music, dIG bADDY played an eclectic collection of rock covers consisting of hit songs from the past four decades----although they threw some Johnny Cash and some pop hits into their act for fun on occasion.
Unfortunately, dIG bADDY is no longer making music. But you can listen to dIG bADDY's album Rocktronica at:
